Something shifted in me this year. Not all at once, but in slow, almost imperceptible layers—like the way the seasons turn: gradual, inevitable, and deeply felt. Somewhere in that in-between space, this phrase dropped in:
Soft Mama Summer.
It came as both a whisper and a remembering—a call to live slower, deeper, more tenderly. To mother myself in a way I never fully had. To stop chasing the sun and instead rest in it.
This isn’t about becoming a new version of me. It’s about coming home to the woman I’ve always been—the one who needs space to breathe. Who finds God in the morning light and bare feet on the earth. Who wants to move with life, not in a race against it.
Soft Mama Summer is a season of radical gentleness. It’s not about losing ambition or dimming your fire. It’s about rooting everything in softness first—so your fire can burn steady, not frantic.
It’s the practice of saying “I don’t have the capacity right now” without guilt.
Letting your body lead—when to rest, when to create, when to speak.
Choosing presence over performance.
Being deeply intentional about where your energy flows.
It’s calling your power back without the sharpness.
It’s softness as sovereignty.
Mama energy as medicine—for yourself, for your relationships, for your work.
And for me this summer, it’s also:
✨ Family adventures that don’t require a plane ticket
🍓 Fresh food, farmer’s markets, sticky fingers
🎶 Music playing while we dance barefoot in the kitchen
🌲 Grounding in nature, by rivers, under trees, on trails
🕊️ Choosing peace over perfection, rhythm over routine
It’s not a theme. It’s an energy. A way of being that nourishes what matters most.
Because I’ve done it the other way. The pushing. The proving. The “just one more thing.”
And all it ever got me was depletion and disconnection.
After becoming a mother, the old ways stopped working. The hustle felt brittle. My body, my intuition, my baby girl—all invited me into a new pace. And the more I softened, the more everything softened around me.
What if softness isn’t weakness?
What if it’s the most radical, courageous, feminine thing we can embody?
Living this way has made me more intuitive. More magnetic. More honest. And above all, more me.
When I move slower, I notice more. When I honor my inner rhythm, I show up as a better teacher, friend, partner, and mama.
This isn’t about escaping life—it’s about being deeply in it, but from a nourished, grounded place.
Let’s make it tangible. Soft Mama Summer isn’t just a vibe—it’s a daily devotion. Here’s how I’m weaving it into everyday life:
☀️ I let mornings be a slow bloom.
No rushing to be “productive.” Just warm lemon water, skin in the sun, and prayer before the world asks anything of me. This is how I remember myself.
👧 I mother my inner girl.
When she’s tired, I rest. When she’s scared, I soothe. When she’s playful, I let her make a mess. We weren’t meant to only nurture others. We must belong to ourselves first.
💬 I say no more often—and with love.
Softness doesn’t mean overextending. It means boundaries that feel like hugs, not walls. “No” can be the most devotional act of self-respect.
🌀 I slow down my yeses.
I check in: Is this aligned with my body, my season, my soul? Does this serve the woman I’m becoming?
🌸 I create beauty on purpose.
I light candles just because. I wear fabrics that feel like a kiss. I turn everyday moments—cooking, folding laundry, walking with Coco—into rituals. Life becomes sacred when we make it so.
🎶 I turn up the music.
Whether it’s lullabies or Stevie Nicks, I let the energy move through sound. There’s always a playlist for softening.
If you’ve been feeling the tug to slow down… this is your permission slip.
Not to do less just to perform stillness—but to listen to your rhythm.
To become a soft, powerful force in a world that forgets how to breathe.
To reclaim your joy—not someday, but this summer.
To mother yourself like the beloved you are.
This is Soft Mama Summer.
It’s not just a season. It’s a reclamation.
A way of living.
A return to what truly matters.
And you’re so invited.
If you’re feeling the call to soften, slow down, and care for yourself in more intentional ways, I’ve gathered some of my most beloved tools into a little ritual shelf just for you. These are the things I actually use—daily, lovingly, and with deep devotion to the version of me I’m nurturing.
From grounding oils and herbal teas to sensual candles and sacred journaling companions—each item on this shelf has supported me in living this Soft Mama Summer life for real, not just in theory.
Think of it as a care package for your inner world. A tactile way to turn your intentions into lived experience.

Let this be a permission slip to romanticize your healing, to make slowing down a practice of beauty and reverence. Because every moment can be a ritual—when you meet it with presence.
If you’ve been whispering to yourself: “I need more space. More slowness. More me,”—the Nature & Nurture Retreat is your mirror and your medicine.
This October, I’m gathering with a circle of women in the golden woods of Vermont for a long weekend of embodied rest, connection, and renewal. It’s a sacred space to press pause on the noise, reconnect with your inner rhythm, and be deeply held—by the forest, by community, by beauty, and by yourself.
We’ll move. We’ll breathe. We’ll eat soulfully. We’ll walk barefoot and laugh and cry and remember who we are underneath the doing.
It’s a living Soft Mama Summer moment—carried into the fall. A way to honor your body and energy as sacred. A space to come home to your feminine self, fully.
If your heart is whispering “yes,” this is your sign to follow it.
