Happy April, babes! Can you feel the shift in energy? After the cozy stillness of winter, spring brings a fresh new rhythm—lighter, brighter, full of possibility.
Living in Vermont, I truly embrace all seasons. I love the snowy adventures, early sunsets, and comfort meals of winter. But now… I’m so ready for blooming flowers, longer days, and that gentle spark of aliveness that April brings.
With the arrival of spring, I always feel called to reset—not with pressure, but with intention, pleasure, and ease. Here are a few of my favorite rituals to refresh both your space and your spirit.
As the season changes, I move through our home slowly—decluttering closets, tossing expired goods, and deep-cleaning every corner. I light incense or diffuse lemon + rosemary oils, open the windows wide, and let the energy clear.
Sometimes Coco joins me (she’s really into the vacuum right now), turning cleaning into a dance party. Once the space is cleansed, I burn sage or palo santo and say a simple blessing: May this space hold more peace, more joy, more beauty.
Spring is sensual—it invites us to see, smell, and feel differently. I swap in lighter linens, fresh flowers, and citrusy or floral scents (neroli and grapefruit are my current faves). Even making my morning breakfast tea becomes a moment of presence—sipping slowly with Coco babbling nearby, sun pouring in through the kitchen window.
As much as I love refreshing the physical space, the real reset begins within. Spring invites us not only to declutter our homes—but our minds, our patterns, and our energy. When we are all sleeping well, I make a point of getting up before Coco to have a mindful moment for me. I love a habit stack so I put my feet up the wall, throw on my red-light mask and listen to a guided meditation. These moments create a profound shift for me, though of course, they’re not alway possible.
Lately, I’ve been journaling with simple prompts like:
I’m releasing pressure and choosing softness. Trusting that I don’t have to do it all—just show up with love, presence, and openness.
With a new season comes new energy—and I love reflecting that in my personal care. It doesn’t have to mean a full overhaul. Just a few elevated touches to your skincare or body rituals can help you feel fresh, radiant, and more like yourself.
